As an Experienced Irrigation Worker you will be responsible for:
· Turns irrigation systems on and off as designated.
. Diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical irrigation issues.
· Installs, repairs, replaces, and maintains all components of residential and commercial irrigation systems, including valves, sprinkler heads, mainlines, controllers, and wiring, ensuring all components operate efficiently and meet industry standards.
· Programs, configures, and operates timers, controllers, sensors, and smart irrigation systems, and assists in system diagnostics and related maintenance activities as required.
. Repairing mainlines, laterals, valves, sprinkler heads, and wiring.
. Opening and closing irrigation systems (spring start-ups & winterization)
· Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
· Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate is reliable, experienced, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Minimum 3 years of irrigation installation and service experience (required)
· Ability to install, operate, troubleshoot, and repair manual and computerized irrigation systems, with strong electrical and hydraulic diagnostic skills
. Experience with manual and computerized/smart irrigation systems
. Ability to follow, understand and enforce verbal and written instructions and safety procedures.
. Ability to read layouts and irrigation plans
· Valid G Driver’s License with clean abstract (required)
. Irrigation certifications (asset — please specify)
. Strong understanding of safety procedures and jobsite protocols
. Physical stamina for outdoor manual labour
