Canada just added 54,000 jobs in November 2025!

According to the latest Labour Force Survey from Statistics Canada for November 2025:

    • +54,000 jobs month-over-month (+0.3%), the third straight monthly increase
    • Unemployment rate: 6.5%, down 0.4 points from October – lowest in about 16 months
    • Employment rate: up to 60.9%, a 0.1 point improvement
    • Gains were driven mainly by part-time roles and strong growth among youth (15–24), who added about 50,000 jobs in November alone
    • Sectors showing strength include health care and social assistance, accommodation and food services, and natural resources, while wholesale and retail trade saw declines.

    What this means:

For employers Labour demand is picking up again. If you know you will need talent in early 2026, this is the time to plan your postings, interview process, and budget, not after everyone else starts hiring.

For job seekers The market is not perfect, but momentum is back on your side. Refresh your resume, update your LinkedIn, and start getting in front of employers while they are opening roles, not after they are flooded with applicants.

Strong data is useful. Acting on it is what creates results.
