Job Description

Our Client, a field service company supporting specialized foundation drilling and heavy construction equipment across Eastern Canada, is seeking a Full-Time Heavy Equipment Technician for their Ontario operations. 
   

We are looking for candidates who are analytical, adaptable, coachable, mechanically inclined, and interested in developing specialized technical skills within the foundation drilling industry. 
  

This role combines both shop and field service responsibilities supporting advanced hydraulic, electrical, and electrohydraulic systems. 

Hours / Work Structure :

  • Combination shop and field service role
  • Standard hours are 7:00 am - 3:30 pm 
  • Overtime and travel required as operational demands dictate 
  • Primarily Ontario-based with occasional out-of-town travel

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and electronic equipment faults 
  • Perform field service troubleshooting and emergency breakdown support 
  • Complete inspections, maintenance, and repairs 
  • Read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics 
  • Utilize OEM diagnostic software and troubleshooting tools 
  • Support customers both in the shop and on active job sites 
  • Complete service documentation and reporting accurately 
  • Travel as required for field support and commissioning 

  

Requirements

  • 421A license preferred 
  • Experienced 310T technicians looking to transition into heavy equipment are encouraged to apply 
  • Strong hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting ability 
  • Experience with construction equipment, cranes, drilling equipment, 
  • Ability to work independently and troubleshoot complex problems 
  • Strong communication and customer service skills 
  • Valid driver’s license required
