Potential Egocentric Video Collection Project (Salon and Service Work) Quebec, Canada

Job Description

Focus Data is currently planning a potential Egocentric Video Collection Project focused on salon and service work in Quebec, Canada, collecting first-person videos (POV), meaning recordings that show the work from the participant’s own perspective, capturing their hands, tools, and activities as they perform tasks, to support AI and humanoid robotics training.

Proposed activities include:

• Hairdressing, barbering, nail care, lashes, esthetics, and related skilled tasks.
• Head-mounted and wrist-camera video collection.
• Hand pose, depth, IMU, and contact annotations where applicable.
• An initial validation set of approximately 50–100 hours.

We are also interested in scaling the project to other service professions.
