Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of Construction or Mechanical Project Management experience.
• Demonstrated experience managing projects valued at $5 million or greater.
• Strong experience with project estimating, bidding, budgeting, cost control, scheduling, and contract administration.
• Experience managing subcontractors, vendors, clients, and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, scopes of work, change orders, and project risk.
• Knowledge of common project delivery models, including lump sum, GMP, and design-build.
• Strong planning, negotiation, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Working knowledge of occupational health and safety requirements applicable to construction/project environments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project or comparable project-management tools.
• Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record.
• Ability and willingness to travel within Canada as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP, Gold Seal Certification (GSC), PRINCE2, CPMP, or comparable project-management designation.
• Degree or diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related discipline.
• Journeyperson/Journeyman trade certification, particularly Millwright or a related mechanical trade.
• Experience with Power BI, CAD, BIM, Procore, or comparable construction/project software.
• Experience managing technically complex mechanical or industrial installations.

What We Offer

Estimating, Bidding & Pre-Construction

• Develop detailed project estimates, identifying key cost considerations and project risks.
• Prepare competitive bid packages incorporating pricing, logistics, project strategy, and value-engineering opportunities.
• Review subcontractor and trade scopes to identify gaps and ensure complete scopes of work.
• Participate in pre-bid activities and coordinate internal resources required for proposal submissions.
• Review contract requirements, delivery models, and commercial risks prior to execution.

Project Planning & Execution

• Manage projects from award through commissioning, turnover, and final closeout.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, sequencing, and resource plans.
• Coordinate procurement, subcontractors, vendors, site readiness, and project deliverables.
• Lead regular project planning and progress meetings.
• Identify schedule, scope, cost, and execution risks and implement corrective actions when required.
• Resolve site and project issues while maintaining schedule and quality expectations.

Financial & Contract Management

• Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost controls from award through closeout.
• Monitor project spending, committed costs, cash flow, and financial performance against budget.
• Work with finance and accounting teams on billing, work-in-progress reporting, change orders, and project reconciliation.
• Monitor project margins and identify financial risks or variances.
• Manage contract documentation, change control, and compliance requirements.

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Act as a primary point of contact throughout project delivery.
• Coordinate effectively with clients, subcontractors, vendors, internal teams, and other project stakeholders.
• Provide clear reporting on project status, schedule, financial performance, risks, and changes.
• Manage escalations and maintain alignment on project scope, responsibilities, and expectations.

Safety, Quality & Leadership

• Promote and maintain strong workplace and project-site safety practices.
• Ensure compliance with applicable occupational health and safety requirements.
• Oversee quality assurance activities, inspections, project documentation, and final handover.
• Lead cross-functional project teams and promote accountability for project deliverables.

Compensation & Employment

• $90,000–$125,000 annually, based on experience.
• Performance-based bonus.
• Full-time, permanent position.
• 40-hour work week.
• Travel within Canada as required.
