Job Description

We are looking for a Social Media & Digital Marketing Coordinator to help manage and grow Canadahires' digital presence.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys social media, digital marketing, content creation, and learning how to build an audience online.

You will work directly with the Canadahires team to create, schedule, and publish content across our social channels, promote job opportunities and company services, and help improve the search engine visibility of our website.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute ideas, experiment with different types of content, monitor results, and see the direct impact of their work on a growing Canadian business.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media Management

  • Help manage Canadahires' social media accounts, including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and other relevant platforms.
  • Create, format, schedule, and publish regular social media content.
  • Post job opportunities, company updates, hiring information, industry news, and promotional content.
  • Adapt supplied content for different social media platforms and audiences.
  • Develop ideas for new posts, campaigns, graphics, short-form videos, and other engaging content.
  • Help maintain a consistent Canadahires brand and voice across all channels.
  • Monitor comments, engagement, shares, and other audience activity.
  • Identify opportunities to increase followers, engagement, and website traffic.

Content Creation

  • Assist with creating graphics, social posts, videos, and other digital marketing material.
  • Repurpose existing Canadahires content into social media posts and campaigns.
  • Help develop content targeted to both employers and job seekers.
  • Support promotion of Canadahires' recruiting, executive search, hiring support, job promotion, and job board services.

Website & SEO

  • Assist with basic search engine optimization (SEO) of the Canadahires website.
  • Help improve website pages, headings, keywords, descriptions, and content for search visibility.
  • Research relevant search terms and keywords related to recruiting, hiring, employment, and Canadian job searches.
  • Help identify opportunities to improve organic website traffic.
  • Assist with creating or updating website and blog content where appropriate.
  • Monitor website traffic and help identify which content and channels are generating results.

 Marketing & Analytics

  • Track basic social media and website performance metrics.
  • Monitor growth in followers, engagement, clicks, website traffic, and other key indicators.
  • Help identify which types of content perform best.
  • Research social media and digital marketing trends that could benefit Canadahires.
  • Provide ideas and recommendations for improving our digital reach.igital Marketing & Analytics

Job Requirements

Skills & Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a strong understanding of major social media platforms.
  • Is comfortable creating and posting digital content.
  • Has strong written communication skills.
  • Is creative and comfortable contributing new ideas.
  • Has an interest in social media growth and digital marketing.
  • Has basic knowledge of SEO or a strong interest in learning it.
  • Is organized and able to manage a regular posting schedule.
  • Can work independently in a remote environment.
  • Is comfortable using tools such as Canva or similar content creation platforms.
  • Has an interest in analytics and understanding what drives online engagement.
  • Is dependable, proactive, and willing to learn.

Experience with website management, WordPress, SEO tools, Google Analytics, video editing, email marketing, or social media scheduling software would be considered an asset but is not required.

Work Environment

This is a remote position with flexible part-time hours 10-15 week.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Canadahires team and will be provided with direction, content, and priorities while also being encouraged to contribute their own ideas and creativity.

Must be legally allowed to work in Canada and the role is dependant on being approved by the Venture For Canada Internship Program
