Job Description

Our Client, an industry-leading aftermarket service and parts alternative supporting a wide range of construction equipment, commercial vehicles, trailers, and specialized foundation drilling equipment throughout Western Canada, is seeking a full-time Field Service Technician for their Vancouver operations.

This role combines both shop and field service responsibilities with exposure to varied equipment and repair environments. 

We are looking for dependable, adaptable, mechanically strong technicians who are comfortable working independently and interested in continuing to develop their technical skills.

Hours / Work Structure:

  • Combination shop and field service role 
  • Regional travel required

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical equipment faults 
  • Perform mobile field service and repairs 
  • Complete inspections, maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Read and interpret service manuals and schematics 
  • Maintain accurate service documentation 
  • Work independently in field environments and customer job sites 
  • Support a broad range of construction and commercial equipment 

Requirements

We are looking for dependable, adaptable, mechanically strong technicians who are comfortable working independently and interested in continuing to develop their technical skills.
  

  • Heavy Equipment Technician – (HET) Certification. 
  • Experience with heavy equipment, commercial vehicles, and construction support equipment preferred 
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic ability 
  • Valid driver’s license required  
  
Nice to Have:
  
  • Hydraulic and electrical experience considered an asset 
  • Welding and fabrication experience considered an asset
