Job Description

  • Equipment Maintenance & Repair
  • Perform preventative maintenance on forklifts, telehandlers, service trucks, trailers, and support equipment
  • Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults
  • Repair engines, transmissions, braking systems, steering systems, and driveline components
  • Troubleshoot hydraulic lifting systems and mast assemblies
  • Maintain diesel, propane, and gasoline-powered equipment
  • Support inspections of hoisting and rigging-related support equipment where applicable

Job Requirements

*Must have legal work authorization in Canada - Canadahires does NOT offer sponsorship/visa assistance.*

  
Mandatory Qualifications:
  • Experience repairing forklifts and medium-duty trucks
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines and hydraulic systems
  • Ability to diagnose electrical faults
  • Valid driver’s licence (DZ licence considered an asset)
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong troubleshooting skills

Preferred (but not mandatory):

  • 310T Truck & Coach Technician certification
  • 421A Heavy Equipment Technician certification
  • Forklift manufacturer training (Toyota, Hyster, Yale, Cat, Skyjack, Genie, JLG, etc.)
  • Experience supporting construction or industrial contractor fleets
  • Experience with telehandlers and rough-terrain forklifts
  • Welding and fabrication experience
